FYI: Materialism Will Never Die

I recently received an email asking me “When does one have a complete wardrobe ?”

I replied saying all one needs is “Two suits, five shirts, 5 pairs of pants, 3 pairs of shoes. etc.”

I had to stop myself—Realizing that, no matter how much I tell people to buy less, I still want to buy more …Then I realized EVERYONE wants to buy more!

I can pretty much guarantee there is no one on Tumblr thinking “Okay, one more shirt and I’ll never need to buy something again.” then sits back to down to finish playing Batman Arkham City.

Is that bad? I don’t really know. I actually think it’s fine. Just don’t put yourself into a debt so bad you’re whoring yourself out for whatever cool brand you’re currently into. I think that’s simple enough right?
